I know the holiday season is here and some of us are putting off our diet/lifestyle resolutions until the new year. But I say it’s never too early to get started. In fact you’d be at a bigger advantage to kicking of your new year right when you have the right tools and information under your belt!
Last weekend my good friend, Mary, and I attended the SD Mom’s Night Out Fitness Event with Jeremy Jackson and DJ Pickel from Look Better Naked Health Management and food provided by FITzee Foods in Liberty Station, San Diego. We arrived a bit late to the event so we got to working out right away. Jeremy Jackson (from Baywatch fame) was our instructor and DJ Pickel got the music going to keep our energy levels up.
Jeremy Jackson led us in a bootcamp-style workout. Women from all fitness levels attended the event—there were even a few pregnant women as well! I’ve worked out the whole week, starting with a barre/core class on the Sunday prior to the event plus doing 16 miles of running throughout the whole week—so I thought I could hang in there pretty well. Let me tell you, I’ve worked out places I didn’t know had muscles. My armpits were sore the next day.
Jeremy was a great instructor. He kept our energy level up and was encouraging even when some felt like they couldn’t go further.
After the workout we walked back to FITzee Foods and were treated to salad, fruit, Juicing up![/caption]
The event was a great chance to meet and work out with other women. I thought I was pretty fit, but I know that I still need to lead a healthier lifestyle. Perhaps then my post-baby flab that likes to re-inflate itself will soon disappear once I make that change.
Thank you, SD Mom’s Night Out for the wonderful event!

It was such a pleasure to meet you in person at this event. I’m so glad you came and enjoyed the evening. You took some great photos. I’m happy to say I am no longer sore, but that also means I haven’t been working out 🙁 Enjoy the holidays, and hope to see you soon!
