After 6 years I finally redesigned my site. Usually I’d recommend a site redesign to my clients every 1-2 years. However, because technology changes so quickly I’ve been quite busy working on other clients’ sites with redesigns and upgrades that I haven’t even been able to touch my own.
Nerdy Stuff on this Site?
From time-to-time, I toy with the idea of creating some posts about programming tips, latest technologies, UX and graphic design trends, and sharing code. Being a woman in this field is starting to be less-rare but there is still a large gap to close in. However, my husband says I specialize in tech-speak which makes communicating to “lay people” a little difficult when it comes to this kind of stuff.
Going Simple
This site is a little more simple now. After viewing sites and blogs on various devices, I decided to cut out the crap that gets in the way. So this will be more photo and text-based as needed.
I also missed the “Blogspot” days were you could just write whatever’s on your mind. I know there’s Tumblr for that now, but I would rather have my own space and cut out the noise.
I’m sure there’s some technical stuff that needs to be ironed out. But I figure that I should get something up quickly or else my planned posts that I have in line will be delayed.
Small Things, Great Love?
These posts are intended to be a quick read and not necessarily a full DIY / photo-heavy post. So I hope you look forward to it!
